Windows 8 Start Screen

When you take a look at Windows 8 for the first time you will see the Windows 8 Start Screen. It appears different from the Windows 7 Desktop, but never fear you can get to the Desktop by just clicking or tapping (if you have a touch screen), on the Desktop icon.
Windows 8 Start Screen
The new look of Windows 8 seems to be an effort on the part of Microsoft, to unify the look of it’s various operating systems, for phones, computers and tablets. The style is called Metro.
Only time will tell how popular this, and other changes from previous operating systems will be, but us older folks are reluctant to change, and some of my friends, who have bought new computers with Windows 8, don’t care too much for the new Start Screen and lack of a start button. Once they are shown how to get to the old desktop, they breath a sigh of relief.
